The STARLIGHT project attended the ALIGNER 7th workshop, which took place online on May 13th and 14th. This event brought together a diverse group of experts from academia, policy, industry, and civil society to address the pressing issues related to the use of artificial intelligence in law enforcement.
STARLIGHT was presented at the CYCLOPES dissemination event, an annual event bringing together stakeholders working in cybercrime, including researchers, law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, and industry experts. Held from April 16th to 17th in Vienna, this event provided a platform for insightful presentations and discussions on both practical and policy matters concerning cybercrime.
The STARLIGHT project participated in the CEPOL Workshop on Artificial Intelligence, with Dr Jorge Garcia from our partner, Vicomtech, representing us. Held in Budapest, from March 25–27, 2024, the workshop provided a focused environment for discussing the role of artificial intelligence in supporting law enforcement efforts.
On March 5, 2024, the STARLIGHT project was presented at the CERIS event focused on "Foresight and Key Enabling Technologies" in Brussels.
From February 7th to 9th, 2024, the STARLIGHT consortium gathered for its 4th General Assembly hosted by NPN and EUROPOL in Utrecht. This meeting played a crucial role in reinforcing STARLIGHT's mission: to create a unified, AI-centric approach for Law Enforcement Agencies across Europe, encouraging seamless innovation and adoption of AI technologies.
On October 26, 2023, the STARLIGHT project hit an important milestone with its 1st Physical Pilot. The aim was to showcase the STARLIGHT tools to Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and gather their feedback for refinement.
Before the pilot, technical partners conducted a training session for LEA representatives, ensuring they were well-equipped to test the tools effectively in practical scenarios.
