On 20th September, STARLIGHT's Project Coordinator, Dr. Nizar Touleimat of CEA-List, represented the consortium at the European Network Against Crime and Terrorism (ENACT) Annual Event in Lisbon. Hosted by Polícia Judiciária, this event served as a platform to celebrate the achievements of ENACT's first year and explore critical themes related to the fight against crime and terrorism (FCT).
Dr. Touleimat actively participated in the roundtable discussion titled "Enhancing Cooperation in FCT Research & Innovation and Funding Opportunities." He joined esteemed panellists, including representatives from the European Commission, Polícia Judiciária, CENTRIC, and the European Organisation for Security, in a dynamic exchange focused on fostering innovation and partnership within the FCT domain.
The ENACT Annual Event provided STARLIGHT with an invaluable opportunity to connect with the wider FCT community, share insights, and explore how innovation can empower law enforcement. The discussions highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in driving progress in security and public safety.
